2018Rodos ve Oniki Ada, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman zamanında Osmanlı ülkesine katılmıştır. Bu adalar Meşrutiyet dönemini takip eden savaş ve anlaşmalarla elden çıkmaya başlamıştır. Trablusgarp Savaşı’nda başarısız olan İtalya, bu sırada Rodos ve Oniki Adayı i şgal etme fırsatı bulmuştur.
