The terrestrial Isopoda (Crustacea: Oniscidea) of Oman

2000
Prior to the present study, fourteen species of terrestrial isopods had been recorded from Oman. The systematic status of a species of Periscyphis, previously not fully identified, has been reconsidered; it is described here as a new species (Periscyphis dhofarensis).

Terrestrial isopods (Crustacea, Oniscidea) from Hawaiian caves

Nineteen species of terrestrial isopods are recorded from 56 caves, mainly lava tubes, in the Hawaiian Islands. The terrestrial Isopoda of Corsica (Crustacea, Oniscidea)

seventy-six species of terrestrial isopods are recorded from Corsica. Eight species (Oritoniscus punctatus, Tiroloscia montana, Platyarthrus corsicus, Cylisticus uncinatus, Alloschizidium campanellii, Armadillidium lanzai, A, littorale and A. torchiai) are described as new and twelve are newly recorded from the island.

Terrestrial isopods from Midway Atoll (Crustacea: Oniscidea)

Nine species of teerestrial isopods are recorded from Midway Atoll, Hawaiian islands. All species are either halophilic, littoral or synanthropic, widely distributed and introduced. One littoral species of Mediterranean origin (Halophiloscia couchii) represents the firs record for the Hawaiian islands and foir the whole Pacific basin.
