Resolving Heterogeneity of Targeted Lipid Nanoparticles Through Solution‐Based Biophysical Analyses
AF4‐UV‐DLS‐MALS‐SAXS resolves previously inaccessible targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) subpopulations that differ in size, shape, and composition. Correlation of subpopulation‐resolved biophysical properties with in vivo RNA delivery reveals that targeted placental transfection is associated with distinct tLNP subpopulations rather than ensemble ...

Online Algorithms on Antipowers and Antiperiods [PDF]
The definition of antipower introduced by Fici et al. (ICALP 2016) captures the notion of being the opposite of a power: a sequence of k pairwise distinct blocks of the same length. Recently, Alamro et al. (CPM 2019) defined a string to have an antiperiod if it is a prefix of an antipower, and gave complexity bounds for the offline computation of the ...

In Situ Change in Contact Angle of a Sessile Droplet on a Magnetoactive Elastomer
Contact angles of persistent μL$\mu{\rm L}$‐sized water droplets on a mechanically soft MAE surface under time varying magnetic fields differ from those of newly deposited droplets. The ability to quickly alter the material properties allows one to observe intriguing droplet‐material interactions.

Online algorithms with stochastic input [PDF]
The design and analysis of online algorithms, where the input to the algorithm is revealed over time and the algorithm has to make decisions immediately without knowing the future input, has received a revived interest in the last few years primarily due to their application to online advertising.

A codesign multiobjective optimization framework was developed to enhance the morphology and controller of a snake‐like robot driven by artificial muscles. It improved planar locomotion, agility, and power efficiency. The approach optimized link geometry and controller gains, revealing that shorter muscles near joints and longer linkages maximize ...

Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.
