Journal of Information Processing and Management, 1996 国立音楽大学附属図書館では，典拠ファイルによる標目管理を行い，目録作成を行っている。典拠レコード作成の業務そのものが，日本国内において，まだその重要性が認識されていないため，１私企業との共同作成のレベルのものであるため作成件数はまだ数万件である。アメリカでは，国家機関である議会図書館がイニシアティブをとり共同作成のプロジェクトにより典拠レコード作成を行っているレベルとは大きな違いがある。しかし，内容的には，バイスクリプトに対応している。世界でも稀なシステムである。当館では，典拠レコードが利用者の検索にも有効なものであると判断し，OPACシステムの開発の核に位置付けている。本稿では，まだ実験段階である音楽資料検索システム（KOPAC）の機能を紹介する。
