Abstract The Ontario Ministry of the Environment protocols for conducting Daphnia magna acute lethal toxicity tests were evaluated for pulp and paper mill effluents. The evaluation included an interlaboratory study and an intralaboratory assessment using different dilution waters, test containers and pH adjustment.
