MetaTF is a new computational framework that uses single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) data to infer transcription factor activity with the aim to help in deciphering cells identity starting from a heterogeneous population, and apply it to characterize mouse hematopoietic stem cells and breast cancer epithelial cells, thus identifying a novel subset ...

A Python toolkit for dealing with Petri nets over ontological graphs [PDF]
We present theoretical rudiments of Petri nets over ontological graphs as well as the designed and implemented Python toolkit for dealing with such nets. In Petri nets over ontological graphs, the domain knowledge is enclosed in a form of ontologies. In this way, some valuable knowledge (especially in terms of semantic relations) can be added to model ...

XLP mitigated CPT11 mucositis by suppressing GUS‐expressing microbes, notably L. reuteri, and diminishing bacterial GUS activity, consequently reducing SN38 accumulation to protect the intestinal epithelium. This preservation of the mucosal stem cell niche enabled rapid regeneration of secretory lineages such as mucin‐producing goblet cells, which ...

Maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus (PGDM) induced metabolic stress in fetal mice pancreas, alongside significantly decreased insulin secretion, altered cell‐cell communication, and distinct changes in cellular niches. Abstract Maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus (PGDM) can lead to adverse fetal outcomes, including lasting impacts on ...

To Be or Not To Be: Vector ontologies as a truly formal ontological framework [PDF]
Since Edmund Husserl coined the term "Formal Ontologies" in the early 20th century, a field that identifies itself with this particular branch of sciences has gained increasing attention. Many authors, and even Husserl himself have developed what they claim to be formal ontologies.

By studying the maturation mechanisms of vasopressin (AVP), this manuscript identifies FAM134B‐mediated ER‐phagy as a critical pathway for degrading both aggregated proAVP and the key ERAD component, HRD1. HRD1 induction mitigates proAVP aggregation and support AVP neuron function in the absence of autophagy.
