Ontology for immunogenetics: the IMGT-ONTOLOGY [PDF]

open access: yesBioinformatics, 1999
Abstract Motivation: IMGT, the international ImMunoGene- Tics database (http://imgt.cines.fr:8104), created by M.-P. Lefranc, is an integrated database specializing in antigen receptors (immunoglobulins and T-cell receptors) and major histocompatibility complex (MHC) of all vertebrate species.

Ontology-based domain modelling for consistent content change management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Ontology-based modelling of multi-formatted software application content is a challenging area in content management. When the number of software content unit is huge and in continuous process of change, content change management is important.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Ontological Overhearing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The collaboration between two intelligent agents can be greatly enhanced if a third agent, who has some understanding of the communication between the first two, intervenes giving appropriate information or acting helpfully without having been explicitly involved.

Managing Multiple Ontologies and Ontology Evolution in Ontologging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Ontologging is an ontology-driven environment to enable next generation knowledge management applications building on Semantic Web technology. In this paper we first present the conceptual architecture underlying Ontologging. Second, we focus on two important challenges for ontology-based knowledge management, namely the supporting multiple ontologies ...

Metrics for ranking ontologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Representing knowledge using domain ontologies has shown to be a useful mechanism and format for managing and exchanging information. Due to the difficulty and cost of building ontologies, a number of ontology libraries and search engines are coming to ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Metrics and methods for comparative ontology evaluation

open access: yesCiência da Informação, 2017
While progress has been made toward describing the need for ontology evaluation and offering proposals concerning what properties to measure and how, work remains to develop ontology evaluation as a rigorous discipline.
