Rapid Separation and Determination of Metronidazole Benzoate and Other Antiprotozoal Drugs by Pressurized Capillary Electrochromatography

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
A novel method for the rapid separation and determination of five polar 5‐nitroimidazoles in water from different sources by pressurized capillary electrochromatography has been developed. Compared with the gradient elution mode and the packed nonpolar columns which were usually utilized for the separation of 5‐nitroimidazoles, a simple isocratic ...

Exploring habit strength, reward value, and context stability of sedentary activities in older adults: An ecological momentary assessment study

open access: yesApplied Psychology: Health and Well-Being, Volume 18, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Sedentary behavior (SB) poses significant health risks. Still, older adults frequently engage in SB, presumably driven by habit. As stable contexts and rewarding experiences reinforce habits, understanding these mechanisms is essential for designing effective interventions. This study used sensor‐triggered ecological momentary assessments (EMA)

Aluminum nitride as nonlinear optical material for on‐chip frequency comb generation and frequency conversion

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 263-271, June 2016., 2016
Abstract A number of dielectric materials have been employed for on‐chip frequency comb generation. Silicon based dielectrics such as silicon dioxide (SiO2) and silicon nitride (SiN) are particularly attractive comb materials due to their low optical loss and maturity in nanofabrication.

Organic and Metallacages for Chemical Sensing: Progress in Water‐Compatible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
Supramolecular cages function as three‐dimensional receptors for selective molecular recognition and sensing, and this review outlines design principles for water‐stable architectures, key analyte‐ and medium‐dependent challenges, recent water‐compatible examples (including polymer‐integrated systems), and future opportunities for cage‐based ...

Kinematics and Dynamics of a Tensegrity‐Based Water Wave Energy Harvester

open access: yesJournal of Robotics, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
A tensegrity‐based water wave energy harvester is proposed. The direct and inverse kinematic problems are investigated by using a geometric method. Afterwards, the singularities and workspaces are discussed. Then, the Lagrangian method was used to develop the dynamic model considering the interaction between the harvester and water waves.

Laparoscopic‐assisted ‘pull‐introducer technique’ for gastrostomy tube placement in small infants: A single‐centre experience

open access: yesJPGN Reports, Volume 6, Issue 3, Page 262-265, August 2025.
Abstract Kirberg et al. described in 2016 a one‐step gastrostomy tube placement, the ‘pull‐introducer’ technique, designed for small‐for‐gestational‐age neonates, combining two endoscopic techniques. Nine infants (weight 3.4–8.1 kg) in our centre required a gastrostomy placement (two infants) or a combined gastrostomy placement and Nissen ...

Enhancing Weak‐Signal Carrier Phase Tracking in GNSS Receivers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Navigation and Observation, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
Examining the performance of the GNSS PLL, this paper presents novel results describing the statistical properties of four popular phase estimators under both strong‐ and weak‐signal conditions when subject to thermal noise, deterministic dynamics, and typical pedestrian motion.

Encouraging politicians to act on climate: A field experiment with local officials in six countries

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Political Science, Volume 69, Issue 1, Page 148-163, January 2025.
Abstract Local governments play an important role in addressing the climate crisis. However, despite public support for climate action, local policy responses have been limited. We argue that (1) biased beliefs about voter preferences, (2) the time horizon for credit claiming, and (3) source credibility are barriers for legislators to learn and adopt ...

Konwencji ONZ o prawach osób niepełnosprawnych – zobowiązaniem dla wszystkich (!?)

open access: yesRuch Prawniczy, Ekonomiczny i Socjologiczny, 2018
Konwencja o prawach osób niepełnosprawnych (Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) zakłada pełne włączenie osób z ograniczeniem sprawności w życie zbiorowości (integracja – normalizacja – inkluzja), jako niezbędny element budowy ...
