Manchester Return-to-Zero On–Off Keying Modulation for Free-Space Optical Communication
This paper proposes a Manchester return-to-zero on–off keying (M-RZ-OOK) modulation for free-space optical (FSO) communication. M-RZ-OOK modulation is achieved by introducing Manchester coding into the RZ-OOK format.

Multi-Format Wavelength Conversion Using Quantum Dash Mode-Locked Laser Pumps
We investigate and compare the performance of wavelength conversion for two different non-return-to-zero (NRZ) modulation formats at 40 Gb/s: on off keying (OOK) and differential phase-shift keying (DPSK).

A SiPM-Based VLC Receiver for Gigabit Communication Using OOK Modulation
The growing demand for wireless communications services means that RF systems are increasingly unable to support user’s requirement. Consequently, there is a growing interest in using visible light communication (VLC), including interest in sensitive VLC receivers. Since they have the potential to detect single photons, silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs)
