Phacoemulsification in eyes with corneal opacification
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2003We describe a technique in which transcorneal illumination with a fiber-optic light probe is used to safely perform phacoemulsification in cataractous eyes with dense corneal opacification. The technique was used in 3 eyes of 3 patients. No surgical complications occurred, and all eyes had improved visual acuity.

TOTAL BODY OPACIFICATION IN THE ADULT
American Journal of Roentgenology, 19721. Infusion of contrast material in the range of 1 ml. per pound of body weight results in total body opacification in the adult.2. Structures of the body will opacify to a degree proportional to their vascularity and the amount of contrast material in their extracellular spaces.

Prevention of posterior capsular opacification
Experimental Eye Research, 2015Posterior capsular opacification (PCO) is a common complication of cataract surgery. The development of PCO is due to a combination of the processes of proliferation, migration, and transdifferentiation of residual lens epithelial cells (LECs) on the lens capsule.

Analysis of elements of interlenticular opacification
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 2002To report the histopathologic and ultrastructural features of three cases of interlenticular opacification (ILO) between piggyback intraocular lenses.Interventional case series with clinicopathologic correlation.Three pairs of acrylic piggyback lenses were explanted due to decrease in visual acuity associated with ILO.

Intussusception and total body opacification
Clinical Radiology, 1980Because of atypical clinical presentations, two children with intussusception had intravenous urography as their initial examination of following plan films. In both patients the intussusception was outlined by an opaque rim due to the total body opacification effect on the bowel wall.

Experience with Total Body Opacification
Australasian Radiology, 1975SUMMARY 1 T.B.O. is valuable in the diagnosis of suspected abdominal masses in infants and children. 2 The etiology of the mass is unimportant, e.g., neoplastic, congenital, traumatic, mechanical. 3 It is as safe a procedure as standard dose urography.

Experimental Opacification of the Pancreas
Radiology, 1957In recent years, contrast radiography has undergone a truly remarkable development and growth. Nonetheless, one organ, i.e., the pancreas, continues to pose a great diagnostic challenge. The present paper is a preliminary report of some experimental studies pertaining to contrast visualization of the pancreas.
