A Resonant Pressure Microsensor Based on Double-Ended Tuning Fork and Electrostatic Excitation/Piezoresistive Detection

open access: yesSensors, 2018
This paper presents a resonant pressure microsensor relying on electrostatic excitation and piezoresistive detection where two double-ended tuning forks were used as resonators, enabling differential outputs.

FILTERED POWER SPLITTER USING MICROSTRIP SQUARE OPEN LOOP RESONATORS

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research C, 2016
A microstrip power splitter with band-pass responses is presented in this paper. The design is based on square open loop resonator topology. This filtered power splitter does not require quarter wavelength transformers and will result in a smaller size than a conventional Wilkinson power divider with integrated band-pass filter.

Atomic resolution imaging at 2.5 GHz using near-field microwave microscopy

open access: yes, 2010
Atomic resolution imaging is demonstrated using a hybrid scanning tunneling/near-field microwave microscope (microwave-STM). The microwave channels of the microscope correspond to the resonant frequency and quality factor of a coaxial microwave resonator,

Observation of enhanced optical spring damping in a macroscopic mechanical resonator and application for parametric instability control in advanced gravitational-wave detectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We show that optical spring damping in an optomechanical resonator can be enhanced by injecting a phase delay in the laser frequency-locking servo to rotate the real and imaginary components of the optical spring constant.

Test and Analysis of the Optical Kerr-Effect in Resonant Micro-Optic Gyros

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2014
As one kind of the main optical error sources in the resonant micro-optic gyro (RMOG), the optical Kerr-effect brings a nonzero bias to the output of the RMOG.

Varactor-Tuned Dual-Mode Frequency Discriminator for Instantaneous Frequency Measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper a novel varactor-tuned frequency discriminator that makes use of two tunable dual-mode microstrip resonators is demonstrated which doubles the discriminator tuning bandwidth.

Frequency-Tunable and Pattern Diversity Antennas for Cognitive Radio Applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
Frequency-tunable microstrip antennas, for cognitive radio applications, are proposed herein. The approach is based on tuning the operating frequency of a bandpass filter that is incorporated into a wideband antenna.

Implementation of a Highly Selective Microstrip Diplexer with Low Insertion Loss Using Square Open-Loop Resonators and a T-Junction Combiner [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2022
In this paper, the design and hardware implementation of a squared open-loop resonator (SOLR)-based microstrip diplexer with high isolation, low insertion loss, and high selectivity are introduced.
