Compact Dual-Mode Open Loop Microstrip Resonators and Filters [PDF]
A novel compact microstrip dual-mode resonator and filter are proposed. The characteristics of the dual mode resonator are investigated. It is found that the filter response exhibits a desirable stopband response where the first spurious passband naturally occurs at 3f0. Finally, methods of miniaturizing such resonators and filters are discussed.

Equivalence of Open-Loop and Closed-Loop Operation of SAW Resonators and Delay Lines
Surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors in the form of two-port resonators or delay lines are widely used in various fields of application. The readout of such sensors is achieved by electronic systems operating either in an open-loop or in a closed-loop ...

Design of a Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Using an Open-Loop Resonator [PDF]
In this paper, we present a novel design for a dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) based on the conventional second-order, open-loop BPF. By adding series resonant circuits to the open ends of the resonator, we can create two resonant modes from the even and

A Nanoscale Parametric Feedback Oscillator [PDF]
We describe and demonstrate a new oscillator topology, the parametric feedback oscillator (PFO). The PFO paradigm is applicable to a wide variety of nanoscale devices and opens the possibility of new classes of oscillators employing innovative frequency ...

Design and Fabrication of Tri-Stopband Bandstop Filters Using Cascaded and Multi-Armed Methods
In this paper, we proposed a compact C-open-loop ring resonator and its equivalent circuit. The second cascaded BSF are designed using this simple C-ring resonator.
