Real‐time lithology identification while drilling based on drill cuttings image analysis with ensemble learning

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A lithology identification while drilling method was developed, integrating an automated cuttings sampling system, a smart drilling rig, and an ensemble learning model. Underground trials achieved 97.42% accuracy in real‐time identification of cuttings lithology and composition, enhancing hazard management and supporting unmanned drilling technology in

Glucose and Loss of Control Eating: Evidence From Naturalistic Assessment After Roux‐en‐Y Gastric Bypass

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective While loss of control (LOC) eating is associated with poor outcomes following metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS), the mechanisms driving it are less understood. This study used momentary, naturalistic data to examine glucose as a biological correlate of LOC eating after Roux‐en‐Y gastric bypass (RYGB).

Waste to Hydrogen: Transforming Food Waste Into Biohythane (Bio‐H2 + Bio‐CH4) in a Two‐Stage Reactor With the Aid of a Metal‐Ion Catalyst

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a two‐stage catalytic bioreactor system that converts real food waste into high‐purity biohydrogen and biohythane. In Stage‐1, an enriched Clostridium thermocellum culture combined with Ni2+─Fe2+ bimetallic catalysis enhances hydrolysis efficiency and hydrogenase activity, resulting in a 77% increase in H2 yield and 75.8% purity
