Deformation and Degradation in 18650 Li‐Ion Cells Under Freeze‐Thaw Cycling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 12, 9 February 2026.
This study investigates the impact of freezethaw degradation of 18650 cells via combined electrochemical and x‐ray imaging studies. High‐resolution synchrotron X‐ray tomography reveals deformation of the jelly‐roll structure and delamination of electrode active materials in cells cycled at 1C and 4C. These structural changes are quantitatively assessed

IGZO‐Based First Spike Timing Tactile Encoders and Coupling‐Enhanced Transistor Synapses for Efficient Spiking Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
Here, a bioinspired light‐accelerated neuromorphic system that seamlessly links tactile sensing, first‐spike‐timing (FST) encoding, and light–electric synaptic learning. Pressure stimuli trigger FST spikes in dual‐gate PDTFTs, while GaOx/IGZO hetero‐synapses exhibit enhanced memory under optical–electrical co‐activation, enabling spiking neural ...

Image Fusion for Super‐Resolution Mass Spectrometry Imaging of Plant Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
A loss controlled residual network (LCRN) workflow is developed for super‐resolution fusion of plant mass spectrometry imaging data. LCRN uses a novel edge perceptual loss metric to preserve complex plant tissue morphology. LCRN achieves up to 20‐fold magnification while effectively combining chemical information from mass spectrometry with ...

Ion‐Electron Fusion Transparent Film for Interactive Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 8, 9 February 2026.
An ion‐electron fusion transparent film with stable conductivity, high optical transmittance, and a broad linear strain‐sensing range of up to 300% is developed, attributed to the synergistic effects of ion penetration and microcrack design. When applied to soft robots, this film imparts proprioceptive sensing and underwater visible light communication

Flow and Phenotype Determine Climbing Success in Juvenile European Eel (Anguilla anguilla): A Test of Two Ramp Designs

open access: yesAquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems, Volume 36, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The European eel (Anguilla anguilla) faces significant challenges during its migratory lifecycle due to anthropogenic habitat fragmentation. Fish passage solutions, such as eel ramps, aim to mitigate such barriers, but their effectiveness varies and may impose selective pressures on eel phenotypes.

Robust Citrus Disease Diagnosis: A Hybrid CNN Framework for Multi‐Task Classification, Severity Estimation, and Cross‐Species Adaptation

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
We propose a hybrid CNN–ML approach to accurately classify diseases in lemon and orange leaves and assess their severity. Our model achieves high accuracy and demonstrates generalizability, showing promise for automated disease detection and management in citrus crops.

Implementacija opencv biblioteka na android platformi [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
As a part of this thesis, OpenCV library was successfully implemented into Android platform. Implementation is based on three main parts: installation of NDK and CDT extensions, download of OpenCV SDK and binding user's application to OpenCV Manager. OpenCV's object detection is split in two parts.

Deep cytomorphology identifies erythroid skewing and monocytic morphology to predict TKI sensitivity in CML patients

open access: yesHemaSphere, Volume 10, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The cellular composition of the chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) bone marrow (BM) beyond granulocyte enrichment remains poorly understood. We analyzed 1548 routinely stained BM aspirate slides from 598 patients across seven sites using deep learning‐based image analysis to identify cytomorphological markers predictive of major molecular response.
