Evaluation of OpenPose for Quantifying Infant Reaching Motion

Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, 2021
Research Objectives To evaluate the ability of OpenPose to automatically track infant reaching motion. OpenPose is an open-source real-time 2D pose estimation software that automatically detects facial and body (including hand and foot) key points. It has been mainly used for pose estimation of adults, children, and infants lying in supine position ...

Pose Estimation of Hurdles Athletes using OpenPose

2021 International Conference on Electrical, Computer, Communications and Mechatronics Engineering (ICECCME), 2021
Automatic athlete pose estimation from images has recently received considerable attention from the computer vision community to understand the correct pose of athletes during training or competitions. However, human pose estimation from images or videos is still a challenging task because of inadequate training data, depth obscurity, and occlusion. In

Prediction of Basketball Free Throw Shooting by OpenPose

2019
OpenPose, which is developed by Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) presented in CVPR 2017, takes in real-time motion images via a simple web camera and is capable of recognizing skeletons of multiple persons in these images. It also generates recognized skeleton point coordinates to files.

Real-time human gesture grading based on OpenPose

2017 10th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, BioMedical Engineering and Informatics (CISP-BMEI), 2017
In this paper, we presented a real-time 2D human gesture grading system from monocular images based on OpenPose, a library for real-time multi-person keypoint detection. After capturing 2D positions of a person's joints and skeleton wireframe of the body, the system computed the equation of motion trajectory for every joint.

Visualization Method of Movement of Teachers and Students in Classroom using OpenPose

International Conference on Computers in Education, 2021
This study proposes a method to visualize the movement of teachers and students in a classroom using OpenPose. With the Proposed method, the activities such as sitting, joining the class late, moving, and discussing in pairs were visualized. The method has those two advantages: human movement can be visualized semi-automatically from video data and as ...

Joint Position Registration between OpenPose and Motion Analysis for Rehabilitation

2020 IEEE 50th International Symposium on Multiple-Valued Logic (ISMVL), 2020
We developed a registration system between OpenPose and Motion Analysis, that is a gold standard of human motion analysis, to evaluate the accuracy of human joint position. We took the data of the both for walking ten healthy persons: five males and five females. The registration result was evaluated by comparing with their obtained data.
