OPERA is a neutrino oscillation experiment designed to perform a nu\_tau appearance search at long distance in the future CNGS beam from CERN to Gran Sasso. It is based on the nuclear emulsion technique to distinguish among the neutrino interaction products the track of a tau produced by a nu\_tau and its decay tracks.

SUBLUMINAL OPERA NEUTRINOS [PDF]
The OPERA Collaboration has announced to have observed superluminal neutrinos with a mean energy 17.5 GeV, but afterward the superluminal interpretation of the OPERA results has been refuted theoretically by Cherenkov-like radiation and pion decay. In a recent work, we have proposed a kinematical resolution to this problem.

Super resolution passive radars based on 802.11ax Wi‐Fi signals for human movement detection
Passive Radars based on Wi‐Fi signals provide an excellent opportunity for human sensing without violating the privacy of individuals. Due to the limited integration time of Wi‐Fi bursts and relatively low bandwidths, Fourier Transform‐based methods do ...

Transforming tradition: performances of Jingju ('Beijing Opera') in the UK [PDF]
Jingju (‘Beijing opera’) is China's most iconic traditional theatre, marketed as a global signifier of Chinese theatre and national identity. Although troupes from mainland China regularly tour Europe, audiences in the UK have also had access to Jingju ...

Superluminal neutrinos in long baseline experiments and SN1987a [PDF]
Precise tests of Lorentz invariance in neutrinos can be performed using long baseline experiments such as MINOS and OPERA or neutrinos from astrophysical sources. The MINOS collaboration reported a measurement of the muonic neutrino velocities that hints

Comprehensive models for organizations must, on the one hand, be able to specify global goals and requirements but, on the other hand, cannot assume that particular actors will always act according to the needs and expectations of the system design ...
