Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

TypeA operating characteristic functions of defects sampling plans
A type A (lot) defects sampling plan and its operating characteristic (OC) function are studied under suitable assumptions on the arrangements of the total number of defects. The distributions of the number of defects in a sample for hypergeometric and Poisson models are found and the exact OC functions are calculated.

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Weyl function of a Hermitian operator and its connection with characteristic function
Let $A$ be a densely defined symmetric operator with equal deficiency indices in a Hilbert space. We introduce the notion of a Weyl function $M(z)$ of $A$ corresponding to an ordinary boundary triplet of the operator $A^*$ and then investigate its basic properties.
