Ganglioneuroma: To Operate or Not to Operate
European Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2013Ganglioneuroma (GN) is a benign, differentiated variety of neurogenic tumor. It is often asymptomatic and may be diagnosed by serendipity. Surgical removal is the treatment of choice. However, it has been suggested that postoperative complications and sequelae might outweigh the benefits of this approach. The purpose of the present study was to examine

Splitting of Operators and Operator Equations
Acta Mathematica Sinica, English Series, 2023In this paper, the writers consider the question of the factorization of an operator \(T\in B(H)\) into the product of two positive operators \(A\) and \(X\), i.e., \(T=AX\). Their results are then linked to the solvability of the operator equations \(T=XAX\) and \(TX=XAX\).

Operator programs and operator processes
Information and Software Technology, 2003Abstract We define a notion of program which is not a computer program but an operator program : a detailed description of actions performed and decisions taken by a human operator (computer user) performing a task to achieve a goal in a simple setting consisting of that user, one or more computers and a work environment.

ON REDUCTIVE OPERATORS AND OPERATOR ALGEBRAS
Mathematics of the USSR-Izvestiya, 1976We prove a theorem on the structure of weakly closed reductive operator algebras. The proof essentially relies on a known result of V. I. Lomonosov on transitive operator algebras containing a nonzero compact operator. We deduce a number of corollaries which apply to the reductivity problem.Bibliography: 20 titles.

A Tele-operated Humanoid Operator
The International Journal of Robotics Research, 2006This is the first successful trial of remotely controlling a humanoid robot to drive an industrial vehicle in lieu of a human operator. These results were achieved through the development of three technologies: 1) remote-control technology to instruct the humanoid to perform total-body movements under remote control 2) a remote-control system to ...
