Energy-Flux Operator for a Lattice

Physical Review, 1963
A systematic derivation of the energy-flux operator for a three-dimensional lattice is given. The treatment is based on the general expressions for the energy flux which are valid for all phases of matter; a short derivation of these expressions, making no restrictions to two-body forces, is presented.

Unusual Eigenvalues of the Energy Operator

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1962
A generalization of quantum mechanics different from the theory proposed recently by Phipps is considered. Difficulties connected with the commutation relations of the angular momentum components defined with the help of the operators pi of the fundamental equations of Phipps are presented as new arguments in favor of the choice of Phipps of the ...

An Energy Operating System Adaptive for The Sustainable And Green Energy

2020 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems (APCCAS), 2020
The system integration of the energy devices is the challenge that constrained the development of the sustainable energy in real. This study proposed an Energy Operating System (EOS) to monitor and manage the energy devices inside the proposed energy grid node.

Energy systems for operative laparoscopy

The Journal of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, 1998
After reading this article, the reader should know 1. The fundamental differences between "cut," "blend," and "coag" currents. 2. How voltage relates to thermal damage sustained during conventional electrosurgery. 3. How the risk of lateral thermal damage during electrosurgery can be reduced. 4. What determines whether a particular laser will primarily

Energy systems for operative hysteroscopy

Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinics of North America, 2000
The use of energy to perform intrauterine surgery can be broken down into three fundamental elements: delivery, transmission, and tissue strike. Thermal delivery devices, including monopolar or bipolar electrodes and quartz fibers, transmit energy either directly or indirectly to tissue.

Strictly Hyperbolic Operators and Approximate Energies

2003
In this note we collect some results on Sobolev-, CO∞- and Gevrey-well-posedness of the Cauchy problem for linear strictly hyperbolic operators having non Lipschitz-continuous coefficients. These results are obtained modifying the classical method of the energy estimates by the introduction of the so-called approximate energies, i.e.

High-energy operation of a Co:MgF_2 laser

Optics Letters, 1992
We have generated output energies of 900 mJ at 2050 nm from a pulsed, room-temperature, normal-mode Co:MgF(2) laser, with average powers as high as 6.5 W. Over the range 1800 to 2450 nm we have obtained pulse energies of at least 100 mJ.

The Energy Wheel in Operation

INTELEC '82 - International Telecommunications Energy Conference, 1982
The kinetic energy storage has stepped from an initial development status to an operational phase on prototypes. The first energy wheel has been implemented as an uninterruptible power supply unit for a rural telephone exchange, close to Paris. This paper draws the 1st conclusions after one year of operational experience.

Energy and Energy Safety in the Operating Room

2011
Since Cushing and Bovie introduced the use of the electricity to facilitate coagulation in 1926 [1], the use of energy has become a vital component of modern-day operating. This is particularly true in laparoscopic surgery, where our quest to eliminate incisions, while improving efficiency, has led to the development of a variety of energy devices that
