Operational Modal Analysis of Transformer Windings
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2020Broadband responses under random excitations can reflect the modal characteristics of a structure. This paper investigates the applicability of operational modal analysis (OMA) to extract modal parameters of transformer windings under random excitations.

Operational Modal Analysis of Broaching Machine
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012Modal parameters for LG51SH broaching machine from operational responses are studied to examine the dynamic properties of mechanical structure. The operational modal is analyzed using PolyMAX method with responsive data of key point in broaching machine, which is excited in practical broaching operation and tested by LMS SCADAIII-105 system.

Recent Trends in Operational Modal Analysis
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2003<div class="htmlview paragraph">Operational Modal Analysis -the technique where modal parameters are estimated without known input forces- has been an accepted tool in advanced mechanical engineering.</div> <div class="htmlview paragraph">The technique has its advantages were the modal parameters have to be estimated during the ...

Operational Modal Analysis of Aluminum Beams
Journal of the IEST, 2007Natural frequencies obtained by modal analysis are important to engineers interested in predicting the dynamic behavior of structures. Traditional modal analysis involves impact testing or shaker testing, where response signal and input force are measured to obtain the transfer function. However, for large structures, input excitation force measurement

Operational modal analysis using variational Bayes
2015Operational modal analysis is the primary tool for modal parameters identification in civil engineering. Bayesian statistics offers an ideal framework for analyzing uncertainties associated with the identified modal parameters. However, the exact Bayesian analysis is usually intractable due to the high computation demanding in obtaining the posterior ...

Operational modal analysis for Canton Tower
Smart Structures and Systems, 2012The 610 m high Canton Tower (formerly named Guangzhou New Television Tower) is currently considered as a benchmark problem for structural health monitoring (SHM) of high-rise slender structures. In the benchmark study task I, a set of 24-hour ambient vibration measurement data has been available for the output-only system identification study.

Continuous-time operational modal analysis
2006In operational modal analysis the modal parameters of a structure are identified from the response of that structure to unmeasurable operational perturbations. It is based on the assumption that the operational perturbations are white at the sampling instances.

Operational modal analysis by thermoelasticity
2009In this work the theoretical and practical possibility of using a new measurement technique, based on high speed thermographic acquisition systems, for the study of the dynamic response of objects has been demonstrated. This methodology has been named thermoelastic modal stress analysis (TMSA).
