Factors affecting autolysis of a subtilisin-like serine proteinase secreted by Ophiostoma piceae and identification of the cleavage site

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1995
The extracellular serine proteinase secreted by Ophiostoma piceae was degraded by autoproteolysis under certain conditions. At elevated temperatures the mature protein of 33 kDa was rapidly degraded without any accumulation of protein breakdown products. Glycerol, calcium ions and ammonium sulfate raised the heat stability of the enzyme, increasing its

Ophiostoma kryptum sp. nov. from Larix decidua and Picea abies in Europe, similar to O. minus

Mycological Research, 2003
An unknown species of Ophiostoma was isolated from European larch (Larix decidua) infested by Tetropium gabrieli (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) and Norway spruce (Picea abies) infested by Tetropium sp. in Austria. The fungus is similar to O. minus, but distinguished from it by the ecology, colony morphologies on OA and MEA, and phylogenetic analysis of ...
