Hashimoto’s Ophthalmopathy

These cases presented with no preceding illness; euthyroid state; acute presentation of painful or painless ophthalmoplegia, preferentially affecting the lateral rectus muscles; positive antithyroglobulin/antithyroid peroxidase antibodies and good responses to steroid treatment.
