Three main causes of late‐onset spinal cord dysfunction in rigid posttraumatic thoracolumbar kyphosis: Type I. Compression at the apex (59.0%). Type II. Degenerative thoracic stenosis above the apex (25.6%). Type III. Coexistence of both (15.4%). T10/11 was the most involved site.

MRI study of OPLL in cervical region.

Diagnosis by MRI was analyzed in 15 patients with OPLL of the cervical region. As a result we found that MRI could diagnose OPLL in 9 of 15 patients (60%). This rate was inferior to those by plain radiographs (86.7%), tomogram (100%) and CT (100%).
