Optic Disc and Optic Cup Segmentation Methodologies for Glaucoma Image Detection: A Survey
Glaucoma is the second leading cause of loss of vision in the world. Examining the head of optic nerve (cup-to-disc ratio) is very important for diagnosing glaucoma and for patient monitoring after diagnosis.

Peripapillary choroidal neovascularization associated with melanocytoma of the optic disc: a clinicopathologic case report [PDF]
Background: Melanocytoma of the optic disc is a benign melanocytic tumor that rarely causes visual impairment. We report a case of a melanocytoma of the optic disc with a decreased vision related to a peripapillary choroidal neovascular membrane (PCNVM ...

Purpose Linear accelerator (LINAC)‐based single‐isocenter multi‐target (SIMT) treatment has streamlined the cranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) workflow. Though efficient, SIMT delivery adds additional challenges that should be considered, including increased sensitivity to rotational errors for off‐isocenter targets.

Architected Lattices with a Topological Transition
This article develops topological metamaterials showing multidirectional two‐step deformation under compression by embedding contact‐enabled topological mechanisms into lattice structures. Experiments on 3D‐printed 2D and 3D lattices and finite element simulations are conducted to demonstrate the working principle of the topological metamaterials.

Refractory Central Serous Retinal Detachment in the Presence of Optic Disc Pit – Case Report
Among congenital optic disc anomalies are megalopapilla, optic nerve aplasia and hypoplasia (de Morsier’s syndrome) and optic disc excavations. The latter are attributed to abnormal fetal fissure’s closure.

Association between optic disc pallor and lacunar stroke [PDF]
Objective: To test for associations between optic disc pallor and two clinical variables – ischaemic stroke subtype (cortical, lacunar), and cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) scores in a cohort of hospital patients admitted with mild stroke (Mild ...

Log file‐based quality assurance method for respiratory gating system
Abstract Background As medical linear accelerator technology advances, enabling higher dose rate deliveries, hypofractionation regimens has increased. This necessitates respiratory gating systems that synchronize radiation delivery with tumor position, requiring simple rigorous quality assurance (QA) to ensure treatment accuracy and patient safety ...
