Variability in digital analysis of optic disc topography

Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 1988
We determined the magnitude of variability in optic disc topographical parameters on digital analysis of the optic disc using the IS 2000. The variability introduced by the system, the observer, the observer and patient, and by clinically different types of discs was assessed in the measurement of the vertical cup-to-disc ratio, horizontal cup-to-disc ...

Spectral Topography of the Optic Disc

Noninvasive Assessment of the Visual System, 1991
The topography of the nerve fiber layer of the optic disc plays an important role in the diagnosis of glaucoma. In the past two decades, different optical methods have been used for in vivo topographic measurements [3, 5, 6].

Optic Disc in Glaucoma

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1977
The topography and extent of localized areas of hypofluorescence or absolute filling defects of the optic discs of glaucomatous patients correlated positively with the loss of visual field. Filling defects tended to cluster at the inferior and superior poles of the optic disc and were closer to the disc margin than to the center.

A Comparative Evaluation of Three Methods of Analyzing Optic Disc Topography

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 1989
ABSTRACT Topographical evaluations of the optic discs of 17 eyes obtained using a clinical planimeter, the Rodenstock video-ophthalmograph, and the IS 2000 image analyzer were compared. The parameters studied were vertical and horizontal cup-to-disc ratios, cup volumes, rim areas, disc areas, and rim area-to-disc area ratios.

Comparison of Optic Disc Topography in the Cases With Graves Disease and Healthy Controls

Journal of Glaucoma, 2012
To compare the optic nerve head topographic parameters of the cases with Graves disease (GD), and the age and sex-matched control group, by using Heidelberg retinal tomography III.We evaluated both eyes of 65 patients with GD and 54 age and sex-matched controls.

Does optic disc topography vary during office hours?

Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics, 2002
Purpose:  To investigate whether there is variation in optic disc topography as measured by the Heidelberg Retina Tomograph (HRT), in normals during office hours. Methods:  Thirty normal subjects (22 females and 8 males, median age 28 ...

Repeatability and Agreement of Horizontal Corneal Diameter Measurements Between Scanning-Slit Topography, Dual Rotating Scheimpflug Camera With Placido Disc Tomography, Placido Disc Topography, and Optical Coherence Tomography

Cornea, 2021
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the repeatability and agreement of horizontal white-to-white (WTW) measurements using 4 different imaging modalities including a slit-scanning elevation topographer, dual rotating Scheimpflug camera and Placido Disc tomographer, Placido Disc topographer, and anterior segment ...

Spatial Relationship of Motion Automated Perimetry and Optic Disc Topography in Patients with Glaucomatous Optic Neuropathy

Journal of Glaucoma, 1999
To compare the spatial relationship of focal motion automated perimetry (MAP) visual field defect with focal defect in optic disc topography.Patients (n = 12) with focal MAP visual field loss and focal change in optic disc topography were studied.
