Optic Disc Topography in Patients With Low-Tension and Primary Open Angle Glaucoma

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1990
Computerized optic disc topographic measurements (cup-disc ratio, neuroretinal rim area, disc volume) and automated visual field parameters (total field loss, mean sensitivity) were similar in 48 eyes with primary open angle glaucoma and 27 eyes with low-tension glaucoma.

Reversal of Optic Disc Topography in Patients with Glaucomatocyclitic Crisis After Remission of Attack

Journal of Glaucoma, 1998
The authors investigate change in optic disc topography after reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucomatocyclitic crisis.During the attack of elevated IOP and after remission six eyes of six consecutive patients (46.3 +/- 12.7 years of age, 6 men) underwent optic disc imaging using confocal scanning laser tomography.

Correlation of Asymmetry of Visual Field Loss With Optic Disc Topography in Normal-Tension Glaucoma

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1994
To compare the differences in optic disc configuration with different stages of visual field loss in normal-tension glaucoma.Interocular pairwise comparisons.Glaucoma clinic of a teaching hospital.Thirteen patients with normal-tension glaucoma and asymmetric visual field loss of at least 2.5 dB in the mean defect of the visual field indexes.Areas under

[Screening for diabetic retinopathy and optic disc topography with the "retinal thickness analyzer" (RTA)].

Der Ophthalmologe : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 2005
The RTA features a fundus photography mode and optic disc topography. Those two new modes were investigated regarding their clinical use.First, the combination of wide-field photography with a retinal thickness map was assessed for tele-screening for diabetic retinopathy in 31 eyes.

Optic disc topography in glaucoma.

Journal of the American Optometric Association, 1977
An optic disc with glaucomatous cupping is said to be characterized by its extensive excavation, pallor and displacement of disc vessels. All of these features, however, can occur in normal discs. The factors which influence these features in normal eyes are reviewed and an attempt is made to define the differential diagnostic features of the disc in ...

The effect of panretinal photocoagulation for diabetic retinopathy on retinal nerve fibre layer thickness and optic disc topography

British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2009
Optic nerve head topography and quantitative measurements of nerve fibre layer thickness are increasingly used in the detection and management of glaucoma and other optic neuropathies. Each technology—scanning laser polarimetry, optical coherence tomography, confocal laser scanning ophthalmoscopy—has its strengths and limitations.

Comparison of Optic Disc Topography in Non-Glaucomatous Eyes of Children with Juvenile Diabetes Mellitus and Normal Children

Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, 2010
Purpose: To compare the optic disc topography parameters of children with juvenile diabetes mellitus and normal children using the Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph (HRT III) (Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany). Methods: The topographic optic disc parameters (cup

Discrimination between Normal and Glaucomatous Eyes with Scanning Laser Polarimetry and Optic Disc Topography: A Preliminary Report

European Journal of Ophthalmology, 2005
Purpose To test the ability of structural parameters (as measured by scanning laser polarimetry (SLP) software 1.0.12 and confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (CSLO) to discriminate between normal and glaucomatous eyes.

Optic disc topography of normal tension glaucoma patients in Malaysia.

The Medical journal of Malaysia, 2016
There are limited data in the literature on the optic disc topography in normal tension glaucoma (NTG) patients in Asian countries, especially in Southeast Asia. This study is aimed at comparing optic disc topography in NTG patients and a control group in Malaysia, and we discuss the literature on NTG studies in other Asian populations.

Longitudinal changes in optic disc topography of adult patients after trabeculectomy.

Ophthalmology, 1999
To study longitudinal changes in optic disc topography after trabeculectomy in adult patients.Prospective case series.Twenty-five eyes of 25 patients undergoing trabeculectomy were enrolled.Images of the optic disc were obtained preoperatively and approximately 2 weeks, 4 months, and 8 months after surgery by use of a confocal scanning laser ...
