PSEUDODUPLICATION OF THE OPTIC DISK
RETINAL Cases & Brief Reports, 2011The purpose of this study was to report a case of a chorioretinal coloboma mimicking a second optic disk in an asymptomatic 12-year-old boy. This is a case report. An asymptomatic 12-year-old boy presented with a chorioretinal coloboma of the right eye giving the impression of a second optic disk.

Optical Disk Cluster Drive and Its Optical Filler Disk [PDF]
Optical memory has the advantage of large capacity, media removability and high reliability. However, when it is used in such systems as a home server, video on demand or network server, the data transfer rate is too low. Use of an optical cluster drive is one of the promising methods of increasing the data transfer rate.

Automatic Optic Disk and Cup Segmentation of Fundus Images Using Deep Learning
International Conference on Information Photonics, 2018Automatic segmentation of optic disk (OD) and cup regions in fundus images is essential in deriving clinical parameters, such as, cup-to-disk ratio (CDR), to assist glaucoma diagnosis.

Tilted optic disks are a common finding in the general population. An expression of anomalous human development, the tilted disk appears rotated and tilted along its axes. Visual sequelae described with tilted optic disks include myopia, astigmatism, visual field loss, deficient color vision, and retinal abnormalities.

Melanocytomas of the optic disk
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 2004To evaluate the various forms of clinical presentation, the potential of growth, the risk of functional loss and the possibility of malignant transformation of optic disk melanocytomas in European patients.Retrospective observational case control study.Evaluation of 37 cases of optic disk melanocytomas identified in the computer files of the ocular ...

Optic disk drusen occur in 3.4 to 24 per 1,000 population and are bilateral in approximately 75%. Disturbance in the axonal metabolism in the presence of a small scleral canal--regardless of eyelength--is considered responsible for the development. The drusen increase in size, becoming more visible with age due to continuing calcium apposition, and ...

A 74-year-old woman had a saccular dilatation, presumably of the central retinal vein, on the optic nerve head. The lesion caused no symptoms, and over a four-month period showed (vidence of thrombosis and stagnation within it. The lesion caused no interference with either the arterial or venous circulation of the retina.
