Absorbing new subjects: holography as an analog of photography [PDF]
I discuss the early history of holography and explore how perceptions, applications, and forecasts of the subject were shaped by prior experience. I focus on the work of Dennis Gabor (1900–1979) in England,Yury N. Denisyuk (1927-2005) in the Soviet Union,

Optical Camera Communication Performance Evaluation: Review
Recently, optical wireless communication (OWC) technologies focused on a camera or an image sensor receiver have drawn specific attention in areas like the internet, indoor localization, motion detection, and intelligent transportation systems. Besides, panorama sensors are the subject of communications from picture sensors as receptors as the high ...

Complementary Color Barcode-Based Optical Camera Communications
Electronic displays and cameras can provide an intuitive, simple communications interface without dependence on additional wireless interfaces or the Internet infrastructure. In this paper, we design a complementary color barcode-based optical camera communication (CCB-OCC) system to provide an easy-to-use communication capability from an electronic ...

Fluorescent Polymeric Nanofibers as Ratiometric Multiplexed Skin Sensors of pH and Oxygen
Fluorescent polymeric nanofibers and nanorods are produced as ratiometric sensors of two important physiological parameters: pH and oxygen. They operate by dual Forster resonance energy transfer from large number of energy donor dyes to limited number of two distinct energy acceptors, enabling simultaneous sensing of pH and oxygen.

A methacrylamide β‐cyclodextrin‐based nanogel (MACD nGel) is developed to load the antimicrobial drug Metronidazole (MNZ) for topical delivery for the treatment of periodontitis. It is demonstrated that cyclodextrin nanogel (nGel) loaded with metronidazole provides an efficient drug delivery route but also has potential clinical applications and offers
