Influence of phase optic sensor to the DWDM network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This article deals with influence of phase optic sensor to the DWDM transmission. In DWDM network we use four lasers sources for data transmission on one optical fiber. Next one DFB laser is used for phase optical sensor on the same optical fiber.

Evaluation of the Efficacy and Safety of Satralizumab in a Pregnant NMOSD Patient With AQP4/MOG‐IgG Dual Seropositive: A Case Report

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) is a chronic autoimmune neuroinflammatory disease, typically characterized by antibodies against aquaporin 4 (AQP4‐IgG) or myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG‐IgG). Simultaneous seropositivity for both antibodies in a single patient is exceedingly rare.

An Out‐of‐Place Etiology: Recognizing FMR1 Premutation in the Memory Clinic

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The FMR1 gene premutation (55–200 CGG repeats) is usually associated with a wide range of symptoms and phenotypes within the Fragile X‐tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS), but may also manifest as predominant or isolated cognitive decline. We describe three male patients referred for progressive cognitive impairment and behavioral changes. Standard

Quantification of Degradation Processes in Lithium-Ion Batteries Through Internal Strain Measurement with Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors

open access: yesBatteries
An important aspect of lithium-ion batteries related to lifetime and aging is the change in state within the cells, which results from the expansion of the electrode materials and causes internal stress during operation.

Strain sensing based on radiative emission-absorption mechanism using dye-doped polymer optical fiber [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A stress sensor based on a dye-doped polymeric optical fiber is able to detect stress by simple comparison of two luminescence peaks from a pair of energy transfer organic dyes. Coumarin 540A (donor) and Rhodamine 6G (acceptor) were doped in the core and

Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Nonlinear fiber-optic strain sensor based on four-wave mixing in microstructured optical fiber [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We demonstrate a nonlinear fiber-optic strain sensor, which uses the shifts of four-wave mixing Stokes and anti-Stokes peaks caused by the strain-induced changes in the structure and refractive index of a microstructured optical fiber.
