Self-Supervised Pre-Training for Optical Flow Estimation via Contrastive Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access
To address the issues of dataset dependency and correlation volume redundancy in optical flow estimation, contrastive learning is introduced to build a self supervised optical flow framework.

Optical instrumentation for fluid flow in gas turbines [PDF]

open access: yes
Both a novel shearing interferometer and the first demonstration of particle image velocimetry (PIV) to the stator-rotor gap of a spinning turbine cascade are presented.

Novel flat datacenter network architecture based on scalable and flow-controlled optical switch system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We propose and demonstrate an optical flat datacenter network based on scalable optical switch system with optical flow control. 4×4 dynamic switch operation at 40 Gb/s reported 300ns minimum end-to-end latency (including 25m transmission link ...

Evaluating the involvement of autolysosomes in the nuclear translocation of fluorescent proteins

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Endogenously expressed fluorescent proteins can be degraded by autophagy and transported to cell nuclei via the nuclear pore complex. But in some cell lines, for example, HeLa cells which are positive for immunoreactivity of a receptor ligand, such as UCN I, in cell nuclei, fusion of autolysosome with the nuclear envelope is involved in the nuclear ...

Guiding Optical Flow Estimation

open access: yes, 2003
We show how optical flow estimates can be combined with boundary estimation to improve estimates of motion. The improvement is associated with blending of estimates from complementary bases of operation.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Horn-Schunck Optical Flow with a Multi-Scale Strategy

open access: yesImage Processing On Line, 2013
The seminal work of Horn and Schunck is the first variational method for optical flow estimation. It introduced a novel framework where the optical flow is computed as the solution of a minimization problem.

Deriving optical flow in noisy image sequences [PDF]

open access: yes
A technique is presented extracting local image motion utilising the properties of spatiotemporal orientation i n the frequency domain. This technique is based on the eigenvalue analysis of the inertia tensor matrix of the frequency domain.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Discrete Optimization for Optical Flow

open access: yes, 2015
We propose to look at large-displacement optical flow from a discrete point of view. Motivated by the observation that sub-pixel accuracy is easily obtained given pixel-accurate optical flow, we conjecture that computing the integral part is the hardest piece of the problem.
