Optical investigation of ErFeO3
Zeitschrift f�r Physik, 1967The absorption spectrum of single crystals of ErFeO3 has been investigated in the red and near infrared spectral region in the temperature range between 1.2 °K and 4.2 °K and at 20 °K and 77 °K. Between 77 °K and 4.2 °K a constant splitting of the absorption lines is observed.

A TEM investigation of optical variations in sphalerite
Mineralogical Magazine, 1987Sphalerites from the Force Crag Pb-Zn vein, N England, show darker coloured zones found not only to be richer in Cu, Fe, Sb, Ag and Pb but also to contain precipitates of tetrahedrite-like composition. Sphalerites from Silvermines, Ireland, also showed trace-element enriched colour banding but were devoid of precipitates.

An Optical Investigation of Oxide Films on Metals
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1939Observations were made on the ellipticity resulting when plane-polarized light was reflected from iron and nickel surfaces covered with oxide films continuously increasing in thickness through the temper-color range.
