Localization of Light in Photonics Lattices for All-Optical Representation of Binaries
In this paper we present a novel conceptual method for all optical representation of binary numbers that could be used for all-optical binary logic components in optical digital computing, as well as for other applications.

Harnessing Laguerre-Gaussian Beams to Construct Quasi-Nondiffracting Optical Ring Lattices
We construct a family of optical ring lattices that manifest the quasi-nondiffracting property via superposition of high-radial-order Laguerre-Gaussian beams.

Anderson lattice description of photoassociation in an optical lattice [PDF]
We consider atomic mixtures of bosons and two-component fermions in an optical lattice potential. We show that if the bosons are in a Mott-insulator state with precisely one atom per lattice, the photoassociation of bosonic and fermionic atoms into heteronuclear fermionic molecules is described by the Anderson Lattice Model.

Structural Tolerances of Optical Characteristics in Various types of Photonic Lattices
A systematic study of various photonic crystal lattices and their optical characteristics is carried out in this paper. Sensitivity of both dispersion and effective mode area characteristics to deviations of particular structural parameters of the ...

Nonlinear Excitations in Ultracold Atoms Trapped in Triple Optical Lattices
Various solitary wave excitations are found for a Bose-Einstein condensate in presence of two hybrid potentials in the form of triple mixtures of optical lattices. One of these potentials comprises of a combination of two important lattice profiles, such

Fractionalized topological defects in optical lattices
Topological objects are interesting topics in various fields of physics ranging from condensed matter physics to the grand unified and superstring theories. Among those, ultracold atoms provide a playground to study the complex topological objects.

A disordered insulator in an optical lattice [PDF]
Disorder can profoundly affect the transport properties of a wide range of quantum materials. Presently, there is significant disagreement regarding the effect of disorder on transport in the disordered Bose-Hubbard (DBH) model, which is the paradigm used to theoretically study disorder in strongly correlated bosonic systems.

Optical conductivity with holographic lattices [PDF]
We add a gravitational background lattice to the simplest holographic model of matter at finite density and calculate the optical conductivity. With the lattice, the zero frequency delta function found in previous calculations (resulting from translation invariance) is broadened and the DC conductivity is finite.
