SCALING OF OPTICAL LOGIC DEVICES AND ARRAYS
The use of ion-beam-assisted etching to form ~ 1.5-µm diameter waveguiding "posts", or microresonators, in a GaAs/AlAs Fabry-Perot structure grown entirely by molecular beam epitaxy has reduced the device cross-sectional areas, energy requirements and recovery times all by more than an order of magnitude1.

Logical operations with Localized Structures [PDF]
We show how to exploit excitable regimes mediated by localized structures (LS) to perform AND, OR, and NOT logical operations providing full logical functionality. Our scheme is general and can be implemented in any physical system displaying LS.

Single Photon Source Using Laser Pulses and Two-Photon Absorption [PDF]
We have previously shown that two-photon absorption (TPA) and the quantum Zeno effect can be used to make deterministic quantum logic devices from an otherwise linear optical system.

Energy-efficient domain wall motion governed by the interplay of helicity-dependent optical effect and spin-orbit torque [PDF]
Spin-orbit torque provides a powerful means of manipulating domain walls along magnetic wires. However, the current density required for domain wall motion is still too high to realize low power devices.

Logic functions based on optical bias controlled SiC tandem devices [PDF]
AbstractThe purpose of this paper is the design of an optoelectronic circuit based on a‐SiC technology, able to act simultaneously as a 4‐bit binary encoder or a binary decoder in a 4‐to‐16 line configurations and show multiplexer‐based logical functions.
