Foveal scanning based on an optical-phases array

We utilize the space-variant structure of the human fovea as a basis for a novel, to the best of our knowledge, foveal approach based on optical-phases array (OPA). This approach can be used to solve issues in 3D imaging and achieve a large field of view and high resolution with real-time application.

Array interconnection by phase-coded optical correlation

We present an algorithm for optical interconnection of two-dimensional arrays by transmitting the input through a phase-code mask then correlating it with a control image constructed from the interconnection weights. An arbitrary complex-weighted interconnection pattern can be encoded.

Phase analysis of an optical complex array multiplication system

The phase accuracy of an optical system for complex matrix multiplication is examined by using a novel harmonic analysis approach and a stochastic model for the complex optical transfer function spatial light modulators.
