Foveal scanning based on an optical-phases array
Applied Optics, 2020We utilize the space-variant structure of the human fovea as a basis for a novel, to the best of our knowledge, foveal approach based on optical-phases array (OPA). This approach can be used to solve issues in 3D imaging and achieve a large field of view and high resolution with real-time application.

Array interconnection by phase-coded optical correlation
Optics Letters, 1990We present an algorithm for optical interconnection of two-dimensional arrays by transmitting the input through a phase-code mask then correlating it with a control image constructed from the interconnection weights. An arbitrary complex-weighted interconnection pattern can be encoded.

Phase analysis of an optical complex array multiplication system
Optics Letters, 1993The phase accuracy of an optical system for complex matrix multiplication is examined by using a novel harmonic analysis approach and a stochastic model for the complex optical transfer function spatial light modulators.
