Pulse Generation by On‐Chip Dispersion Compensation at 8 µm Wavelength
This work demonstrates on‐chip pulse generation at 8 μm$\mathrm{\mu}\mathrm{m}$ using chirped Bragg gratings in SiGe graded‐index photonic circuits to compensate the quadratic phase of quantum cascade laser frequency combs. With this approach pulses as short as 1.39 ps were produced, close to the transform limit, representing a key step toward compact,

Phase shift, amplification, oscillation and attenuation of solitons in nonlinear optics
In nonlinear optics, the soliton transmission in different forms can be described with the use of nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations. Here, the soliton transmission is investigated by solving the NLS equation with the reciprocal of the group velocity ...

Soliton “molecules”: Robust clusters of spatiotemporal optical solitons
We show how to generate robust self-sustained clusters of soliton bullets-spatiotemporal (optical or matter-wave) solitons. The clusters carry an orbital angular momentum being supported by competing nonlinearities. The "atoms" forming the "molecule" are fully three-dimensional solitons linked via a staircaselike macroscopic phase.

Observation of Linear and Nonlinear Light Trapping on Topological Dislocations
Topological dislocations are global lattice defects found in various systems ranging from crystals to photonic lattices. This work reports the first observation at optical frequencies of linear modes with tunable localization bound to edge dislocations and their nonlinear counterparts ‐ dislocation solitons. These results reveal an intriguing interplay

Soliton spiraling in optically-induced rotating Bessel lattices
We address soliton spiraling in optical lattices induced by multiple coherent Bessel beams and show that the dynamical nature of such lattices make them able to drag different soliton structures, setting them into rotation.

Unveiling New Perspectives on the Hirota–Maccari System With Multiplicative White Noise
ABSTRACT In this study, we delve into the stochastic Hirota–Maccari system, which is subjected to multiplicative noise according to the Itô sense. The stochastic Hirota–Maccari system is significant for its ability to accurately model how stochastic affects nonlinear wave propagation, providing valuable insights into complex systems like fluid dynamics

ABSTRACT Nonlinear differential equations play a fundamental role in modeling complex physical phenomena across solid‐state physics, hydrodynamics, plasma physics, nonlinear optics, and biological systems. This study focuses on the Shynaray II‐A equation, a relatively less‐explored parametric nonlinear partial differential equation that describes ...

Extra-Cavity Modulation of a Quartic Soliton with Negative Fourth-Order Dispersion
Quartic solitons in ultrafast fibre lasers (intra-cavity optical fibre modulation systems) have been theoretically and experimentally analysed in recent years. However, there are few reports about extra-cavity modulating quartic solitons.
