Optical solitons of the Kudryashov Equation via an analytical technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Some new optical solitons find for the Kudryashov equation (KE) in this study. These solutions are in the form of dark, bright, singular, singular-dark solitons and other solutions with certain conditions.

Self-pulsing dynamics in a cavity soliton laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The dynamics of a broad-area vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) with frequency-selective feedback supporting bistable spatial solitons is analyzed experimentally and theoretically. The transient dynamics of a switch-on of a soliton induced by

Dark Solitons and Grey Solitons in Waveguide Arrays with Long-Range Linear Coupling Effects

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2017
In J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 83, 034404 (2014), we designed a scheme of waveguide arrays with long-range linear coupling effects and studied the bright solitons in this system.

Quiescent Optical Solitons with Kudryashov’s Generalized Quintuple-Power and Nonlocal Nonlinearity Having Nonlinear Chromatic Dispersion

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
The paper derives stationary optical solitons with nonlinear chromatic dispersion. A nonlocal form of nonlinearity and quintuple power–law of nonlinearity are considered. The Kudryashov’s integration scheme enables to retrieve such solitons.

Spatial solitons in quadratic 2D nonlinear photonic crystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We report on the first investigations into parametric solitary-wave formation in 2D nonlinear photonic crystals and present experimental results obtained in an hexagonally poled LiNbO3 waveguide designed for twin-beam second harmonic generation at ...

Derivation of optical solitons and other solutions for nonlinear Schrödinger equation using modified extended direct algebraic method

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
Optical solitons is one of the fastest growing areas of research in the field of nonlinear fiber optics. In the current work, the modified extended direct algebraic method is implemented to obtain optical solitons for the nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation

Soliton refraction by an optical soliton gas

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
We report an optical fiber experiment in which we investigate the interaction between an individual soliton and a dense soliton gas. We evidence a refraction phenomenon where the tracer soliton experiences an effective velocity change due to its interaction with the optical soliton gas.

Frequency conversion based on three-wave parametric solitons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Parametric three-wave mixing in quadratic nonlinear crystals provides a versatile means of achieving widely tunable frequency conversion of laser light, thus permitting a substantial extension of the wavelength coverage of laser sources across broad ...

Phase shift, amplification, oscillation and attenuation of solitons in nonlinear optics

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Research, 2019
In nonlinear optics, the soliton transmission in different forms can be described with the use of nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations. Here, the soliton transmission is investigated by solving the NLS equation with the reciprocal of the group velocity ...

Grey-Black Optical Solitons, Homoclinic Breather, Combined Solitons via Chupin Liu’s Theorem for Improved Perturbed NLSE with Dual-Power Law Nonlinearity

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In this article, we consider the improved perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger Equation (IP-NLSE) with dual power law nonlinearity, which arises in optical fibers and photovoltaic-photo-refractive materials.
