2×2 Microfluidic Optical Switch with Ferromagnetic Fluid Drive

open access: yesGuangtongxin yanjiu
【Objective】Common optical switches are usually polarization sensitive or have complex structures, the article proposes a 2×2 microfluidic optical switch.【Methods】The optical switch proposed in this article employs a waveguide structure.

An ultra fast optical header replacement technology and its application for broadband optical packet switch. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
An optical header replacement technology based on Self Electro-optic Effect Devices (SEEDs) is presented. By using the measurement result of a 75 μm long SEED device, we simulate an 8 Gbps throughput is achievable.

Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...

The switching of optoelectronics to full optical computing operations based on nonlinear metamaterials

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
The recent progress in optical computing outlines the fact that electronic computing has almost failed to cope with the international optical computation and communication traffic demand.

Ultrafast control of strong-field electron dynamics in solids

open access: yes, 2015
We review theoretical foundations and some recent progress related to the quest of controlling the motion of charge carriers with intense laser pulses and optical waveforms. The tools and techniques of attosecond science enable detailed investigations of

Prediction of Myasthenia Gravis Worsening: A Machine Learning Algorithm Using Wearables and Patient‐Reported Measures

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness with potential life‐threatening crises. Timely interventions may be delayed by limited access to care and fragmented documentation. Our objective was to develop predictive algorithms for MG deterioration using multimodal telemedicine data ...

Polarisation-independent optical switch with cascaded optical switch matrices

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1988
We propose a new approach to achieve polarisationindependence and demonstrate the operation of a 2 × 2 switch. This method uses optical switch matrices cascaded in tandem configurations. With this approach, switching voltage is determined only by the strongest electro-optic effect.

Olink Proteomics Analysis Reveals Heterogeneous Responses to FcRn Blockade in Anti‐AChR Antibody‐Positive Myasthenia Gravis: FGF‐19 as a Novel Biomarker

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to systematically observe the clinical manifestations, immune cell subsets, and dynamic changes in serological indicators in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) before and after efgartigimod (EFG) treatment. Methods We analyzed the baseline data, laboratory parameters, and lymphocyte subset proportions in MG ...
