Deep Learning for Chlorophyll-a Concentration Retrieval: A Case Study for the Pearl River Estuary
The abundance of phytoplankton is generally estimated by measuring the chlorophyll-a concentration (Cchla), which is an important factor in photosynthesis and can be used to analyze the density and biomass of phytoplankton in the ecosystem.

The inner regions of protoplanetary disks
To understand how planetary systems form in the dusty disks around pre-main-sequence stars a detailed knowledge of the structure and evolution of these disks is required. While this is reasonably well understood for the regions of the disk beyond about 1

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Monitoring Optical Variability in Complex Inland Waters Using Satellite Remote Sensing Data
Optical classification for water bodies was carried out based on satellite remote sensing data, which avoided the limitation of having a limited amount of in situ measured spectral data. Unsupervised cluster analysis was performed on 53,815 reflectance spectra extracted at 500-m intervals based on the same season or quasi-same season Landsat 8 SR data ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Use of an ROV with Modulated Lighting for Diagnosing the Technical Condition of Submerged Port Wharf Structures [PDF]
The technical condition of underwater port structures is critical to the safety and longevity of maritime infrastructure. Traditional inspection techniques, such as diver-assisted surveys, are constrained by safety risks, limited duration, and reduced ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

A Statistical Algorithm for Estimating Chlorophyll Concentration in the New Caledonian Lagoon
Spatial and temporal dynamics of phytoplankton biomass and water turbidity can provide crucial information about the function, health and vulnerability of lagoon ecosystems (coral reefs, sea grasses, etc.). A statistical algorithm is proposed to estimate

Remote-sensing data are used extensively to monitor water quality parameters such as clarity, temperature, and chlorophyll-a (chl-a) content. This is generally achieved by collecting in situ data coincident with satellite data collections and then ...

Observational diagnostics of gas in protoplanetary disks
Protoplanetary disks are composed primarily of gas (99% of the mass). Nevertheless, relatively few observational constraints exist for the gas in disks. In this review, I discuss several observational diagnostics in the UV, optical, near-IR, mid-IR, and (
