Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) Dating of Shallow Marine Sediments
The Quaternary Research (Daiyonki-Kenkyu), 2003 段丘堆積物の年代測定研究の一環として,光ルミネッセンス(OSL)年代測定法の浅海成堆積物への適用性を検討した.まず,石英の光曝・加熱・エッチング実験を実施し,この結果に基づく試料調整手順を示した.続いて,年代既知(酸素同位体ステージ5e～5c)の浅海成堆積物を対象として,付加線量法によるOSL年代測定を実施した.この結果,前浜堆積物および前浜～外浜遷移帯堆積物から,層位学的・地形学的に推定される離水年代とおおむね調和的な88～112kaのOSL年代値を得た.一方,後浜堆積物ではより新しく,外浜堆積物ではより古いOSL年代値が得られた.これらの結果から,前浜堆積物および前浜～外浜遷移帯堆積物中では光ブリーチングが成立していると考えられる.したがって,精度は粗いが ...

Giant Magnetic Purcell Effect Induced by High‐Order Mie Resonances
Advanced Science, EarlyView.High‐order Mie resonances in dielectric spheres selectively amplify magnetic dipole emission from Eu3+ emitters, producing a giant magnetic Purcell effect. Localized emitters can efficiently access high‐order resonant modes, and the low‐loss TiO2 platform enables direct far‐field observation of the enhanced emission.

Quaternary GeochronologyFlint tools are important archaeological finds, but unheated specimens remain challenging to date.
