An alternative technique for optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) experiment

Radiation Measurements, 1996
An alternative technique is developed for observation of OSL by linearly increasing the intensity of the excitation source during readout. The technique allows the observation of OSL signals in the form of peaks unlike the decaying curves. The parameters of the new OSL peak can be used to obtain the intensity and the lifetime of the decay.

Luminescence properties of BeO optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) detectors

Radiation Measurements, 2011
Abstract The objective of this work is to investigate basic luminescence properties of BeO optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) detectors, including the OSL emission and stimulation spectrum, the lifetime of the luminescence centers contributing to the OSL signal, and the temperature dependence of the luminescence lifetime and of the luminescence ...

Fabrication of Annealing Equipment for Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) Dosimeter

Japanese Journal of Radiological Technology, 2014
The optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dosimeter is a useful detector for measuring absorbed doses of X-rays. A small-type OSL dosimeter, "nanoDot", has recently been developed by Landauer, Inc., who also manufacture "microStar" reading equipment.

Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of LiMgPO 4 :Tm,Tb phosphor

Journal of Rare Earths, 2017
Abstract LiMgPO 4 :Tm,Tb phosphors were synthesized using a solid-state diffusion method. Their properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermoluminescence (TL), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and OSL dosimetric techniques. The influence of light stimulation and thermal excitation on the TL and OSL, and the reusability of the ...

Application of the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technique in space dosimetry

Radiation Measurements, 2006
Abstract This paper reviews the state of the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technique for space dosimetry applications, focusing on the properties of carbon-doped aluminum oxide (Al 2 O 3 :C). New data presented include the most complete and recent values for the relative efficiency η HCP , γ for heavy charged particles as a ...

An Efficient, Affordable Optically Stimulated Luminescent (OSL) Annealer

Health Physics, 2017
Optically stimulated luminescent (OSL) dosimeters are devices used for measuring doses of ionizing radiation. Signal is stored within an OSL material so that when stimulated with light, light of a specific wavelength is emitted in proportion to the integrated ionizing radiation dose.
