Luminescence properties of BeO optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) detectors

Radiation Measurements, 2011
Abstract The objective of this work is to investigate basic luminescence properties of BeO optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) detectors, including the OSL emission and stimulation spectrum, the lifetime of the luminescence centers contributing to the OSL signal, and the temperature dependence of the luminescence lifetime and of the luminescence ...

Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of Lu2SiO5:Ce powder: A preliminary study

Nuclear Instruments & Methods in Physics Research B, 2011
Abstract Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of Lu2SiO5:Ce powder (Phosphor Technology Ltd., UK) has been measured by Riso TL/OSL Reader (TL-DA-15). Upon blue photon stimulation (λex ∼470 nm) the material shows strong OSL signal that can detect β-irradiation right up to the dose of ∼0.2 Gy.

Characterization of the thermally transferred optically stimulated luminescence (TT-OSL) of BeO

Radiation Measurements, 2019
Abstract The objective of this work was to characterize more in depth the newly discovered thermally transferred optically stimulated luminescence (TT-OSL) of BeO. The studies include a more detailed investigation of the pre-heating temperature and time required to induce the TT-OSL signal; the reproducibility, additivity, and stability of the TT-OSL

Modeling TL-like thermally assisted optically stimulated luminescence (TA-OSL)

Radiation Measurements, 2013
Abstract In this work we present a model for thermally assisted optically stimulated luminescence (TA-OSL), an effect previously observed in experimental work. The model consists of one trapping state with an excited state beneath the conduction band and one kind of recombination center.

Use of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) in the detection of irradiated spices

Radiation and Environmental Biophysics, 2021
In this study, the validity of using the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technique as a scanning method for the detection of irradiated foodstuffs was investigated. Gamma-irradiated thyme, mint and clove samples were stimulated with a continuous wave blue light (CW-OSL) and their OSL signal sensitivity and stability properties were measured ...

An Efficient, Affordable Optically Stimulated Luminescent (OSL) Annealer

Health Physics, 2017
Optically stimulated luminescent (OSL) dosimeters are devices used for measuring doses of ionizing radiation. Signal is stored within an OSL material so that when stimulated with light, light of a specific wavelength is emitted in proportion to the integrated ionizing radiation dose.

Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) study of synthetic stishovite

Radiation Measurements, 2000
Abstract Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of synthetic stishovite was investigated for a future dating technique of meteor impact craters. Luminescence around 330 nm was measured on the γ-ray irradiated stishovite under two stimulating light sources of infrared laser (830 nm) and blue light emitting diode set (470 nm).

Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and thermally assisted OSL in Eu2+ – Doped BaSO4 phosphor

Radiation Measurements, 2014
Abstract BaSO4:Eu2+ phosphor has been investigated for its photoluminescence (PL), thermoluminescence (TL), TL kinetics, optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and thermally assisted OSL (TA-OSL) response. PL spectra showed the characteristic emission of Eu2+ ion at 375 nm when excited by 320 nm. The luminescence lifetime has been measured as 40 and
