Thermally modulated optically stimulated luminescence (TM-OSL) of quartz
Journal of Luminescence, 2018Abstract It has recently been shown in computer simulations of the OSL process that increasing the temperature during optical stimulation allows the probability of electron excitation from traps to the conduction band to be modulated. This, in turn, facilitates the efficient separation of individual OSL components. A result of the thermally modulated

Development of new optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) neutron dosimeters
Radiation Measurements, 2008Abstract This paper demonstrates the possibility of using neutron converters incorporated into Al 2 O 3 : C dosimeters to produce new neutron-sensitive OSL dosimeters suitable for personal monitoring. A comparison between different neutron converters indicate that lithium-based compounds (6LiF and Li 2 6 ...

A two-stage thermally-assisted optically stimulated luminescence (TA-OSL)
International Journal of Science and Research Archive, 2022A two-stage thermally-assisted optically stimulated luminescence model is studied. Electrons are thermally and optically raised from the ground state to an excited state and there after they are thermally raised from the excited state to the conduction band.

An alternative technique for optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) experiment
Radiation Measurements, 1996An alternative technique is developed for observation of OSL by linearly increasing the intensity of the excitation source during readout. The technique allows the observation of OSL signals in the form of peaks unlike the decaying curves. The parameters of the new OSL peak can be used to obtain the intensity and the lifetime of the decay.

Application of the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technique in space dosimetry
Radiation Measurements, 2006Abstract This paper reviews the state of the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technique for space dosimetry applications, focusing on the properties of carbon-doped aluminum oxide (Al 2 O 3 :C). New data presented include the most complete and recent values for the relative efficiency η HCP , γ for heavy charged particles as a ...

Purpose:Micro‐CT is considered to be a powerful tool to investigate various models of disease on anesthetized animals. In longitudinal studies, the radiation dose delivered by the micro‐CT to the same animal is a major concern as it could potentially induce spurious effects in experimental results.

Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of LiMgPO 4 :Tm,Tb phosphor
Journal of Rare Earths, 2017Abstract LiMgPO 4 :Tm,Tb phosphors were synthesized using a solid-state diffusion method. Their properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermoluminescence (TL), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and OSL dosimetric techniques. The influence of light stimulation and thermal excitation on the TL and OSL, and the reusability of the ...

A laboratory inter-comparison of quartz optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) results
Quaternary Science Reviews, 1997Abstract In this study three sediment samples were used which came from two cave sites situated on the coast of Gibraltar, Gorham's Cave and Vanguard Cave. Both caves contain silts, sands and breccia deposits from the last interglacial through to the post-glacial period, from which beach sands were sampled for dating.
