Time-bin entangled photon holes [PDF]
The general concept of entangled photon holes is based on a correlated absence of photon pairs in an otherwise constant optical background. Here we consider the specialized case when this background is confined to two well-defined time bins, which allows the formation of time-bin entangled photon holes.

Enhanced Terahertz Spectroscopy of a Monolayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenide
An ad‐hoc engineered metallic surface is employed to perform enhanced terahertz spectroscopy of a monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD). Thanks to a local absorption boost of 104, this technique allows for the extraction of the phonon resonance features and effective permittivity of the 2D material, paving the way for the rational design of ...

Synthetic gauge potential and effective magnetic field in a Raman medium undergoing molecular modulation [PDF]
We theoretically demonstrate non-trivial topological effects for a probe field in a Raman medium undergoing molecular modulation processes. The medium is driven by two non-collinear pump beams.

The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.

Essential Factor for Determining Optical Output of Phosphor-Converted LEDs
An essential factor of the particle number is exploited for the phosphor excitation in phosphor-converted white LEDs. The particle number can clearly reveal the dependence of the light output flux and the correlated color temperature upon the ...
