Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Laplace transforms and the American straddle
We address the pricing of American straddle options. We use partial Laplace transform techniques due to Evans et al. (1950) to derive a pair of integral equations giving the locations of the optimal exercise boundaries for an American straddle option ...

Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Control and characterization of individual grains and grain boundaries in graphene grown by chemical vapour deposition [PDF]
The strong interest in graphene has motivated the scalable production of high-quality graphene and graphene devices. As the large-scale graphene films synthesized so far are typically polycrystalline, it is important to characterize and control grain ...

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Managing across knowledge boundaries
This chapter discusses the implications of knowledge specialization in relation to five types of knowledge boundaries (individual, domain-specific, task-oriented, spatial, and temporal), and mechanisms that potentially could be used to bridge these ...

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

OPTIMAL CONTROL OF A THERMALLY STRESSED STATE FOR A BODY UNDER SPECIFIED STRESSES
The paper considers new problems concerned with optimal control of a thermally stressed state for a body with specified stresses on its boundaries.

Optimum stratification is the method of choosing the best boundaries that make strata internally homogeneous, given some sample allocation. In order to make the strata internally homogenous, the strata should be constructed in such a way that the strata ...
