Information Theory Workshop, 2017 We prove that, at least for the binary erasure channel, the polar-coding paradigm gives rise to codes that not only approach the Shannon limit but, in fact, do so under the best possible scaling of their block length as a function of the gap to capacity.

FEBS Letters, EarlyView.Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment.
