It has recently been shown that using battery storage systems (BSSs) to provide reactive power provision in a medium-voltage (MV) active distribution network (ADN) with embedded wind stations (WSs) can lead to a huge amount of reverse power to an ...

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Contingency-Constrained Optimal Power Flow Using Simplex-Based Chaotic-PSO Algorithm
This paper proposes solving contingency-constrained optimal power flow (CC-OPF) by a simplex-based chaotic particle swarm optimization (SCPSO). The associated objective of CC-OPF with the considered valve-point loading effects of generators is to ...

Solution of optimal reactive power dispatch with FACTS devices: A survey
With the development of urban and rural infrastructure, the power system is enforced to operate nearly at its full capacity which result in heavily stressed power grid operation, greater loss, peak generation, security threat and instability of the ...

Online optimal power flow with renewables [PDF]
Optimal power flow (OPF) is a critical control task for reliable and efficient operation of power grids. Significant challenges are anticipated in the development of future power systems, as a substantial amount of inherently uncertain renewable resources are incorporated, imposing volatile dynamics to the grid.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Linear programming based optimal power flow using second order sensitivities
For the electric railway traction in Sweden, a system of 130 kV transmission lines connected parallel to the contact lines is being build. Within this system, the generation costs differs only slightly between different nodes with power injections.
