Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Distributed Optimal Day-Ahead Scheduling in a Smart Grid: A Trade-Off among Consumers, Power Suppliers, and Transmission Owners

open access: yesComplexity, 2017
To cope with the challenges due to increasing peak load, an optimal day-ahead scheduling problem for social welfare maximization is proposed, in which not only the comfort level of consumers and costs of power suppliers but also the power losses in ...

Q-Learning Based Scheduling With Successive Interference Cancellation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This work studies the problem of scheduling using Q-learning, which is a reinforcement learning algorithm, in a Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) - enabled wireless ad hoc network. Distributed Q-learning algorithm tries to find the best schedule

Dynamic, capability-driven scheduling of DAG-based real-time jobs in heterogeneous cluster [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this research a scenario is assumed where periodic real-time jobs are being run on a heterogeneous cluster of computers, and new aperiodic parallel real-time jobs, modelled by Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG), arrive at the system dynamically.

Task scheduling scheme based on improved particle swarm optimization with biological symbiosis mechanism in cloud computing

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2016
For the issues that the existing task scheduling scheme based on intelligent algorithms can’t obtain the optimal solution in cloud computing and inspired by nature symbiosis,a new task scheduling scheme based on improved particle swarm optimization(PSO ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Application of hyperbolic partial differential equations in global optimal scheduling of UAV

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2020
The global optimal scheduling of UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) navigation channel is studied. Firstly, a multi-channel optimal scheduling mathematical model based on the HPDEs (hyperbolic partial differential equations) wave combination optimization is ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...
