Improved topology optimisation techniques
Advanced computational design tools, which enable effective 3D design of competitive precision components to be produced by AM, are developed. The newly developed topology optimisation techniques will target precision designs which are “AM ready” and hence do not require expensive re-engineering to make them suited for AM.
