PKRxiv: A Best Practice Model for Advancing Pharmacoequity Through Open Pharmacokinetic Data Sharing

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Model‐informed drug development is increasingly integrated across the drug development continuum, enabling more efficient, cost‐effective, and targeted trials while reducing reliance on animal studies. Achieving pharmacoequity requires not only equitable access to medicines but also to the data and knowledge that inform drug development and regulatory ...

Longitudinal Tumor Size and Survival Modeling for Exposure–Response Analysis of Drugs with Frequent Dose Reductions: Dose Justification of Abemaciclib in Patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Abemaciclib is an oral anticancer drug indicated for treatment of HR+ HER2‐ breast cancer. Dose modifications due to side effects are frequent, thus drug exposures change over time as a result of altering the dose or temporarily withholding abemaciclib treatment.

Resilience Practices and Post‐Traumatic Growth Among Sudanese IDPs

open access: yesConflict Resolution Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper we examine the resilience of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Sudan who have endured various forms of suffering resulting from being targeted or trapped by militants involved in large‐scale violence. Upon escaping the conflict zones, the civilians exhibit strength, adaptability, and wisdom in the face of various threats to ...

Urinary and Plasma Profiles of Betamethasone and Triamcinolone Acetonide Following Intra‐Articular and Related Administrations

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Intra‐articular and periarticular administrations of betamethasone and triamcinolone acetonide produce systemic effects, with compound‐ and route‐dependent profiles. The results support the MRLs in urine established by WADA and recommend increasing the washout period for betamethasone.

Considerations for drug trials in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1095-1112, April 2025.
Abstract Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a heterogeneous condition with potentially serious manifestations. Management has traditionally comprised therapies to palliate symptoms and implantable cardioverter‐defibrillators to prevent sudden cardiac death. The need for disease‐modifying therapies has been recognized for decades.

Severity of effect considerations regarding the use of mutation as a toxicological endpoint for risk assessment: A report from the 8th International Workshop on Genotoxicity Testing (IWGT)

open access: yesEnvironmental and Molecular Mutagenesis, EarlyView.
Abstract Exposure levels without appreciable human health risk may be determined by dividing a point of departure on a dose–response curve (e.g., benchmark dose) by a composite adjustment factor (AF). An “effect severity” AF (ESAF) is employed in some regulatory contexts.

Detection of focal impaired awareness seizures using a biometric shirt

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective In recent years, seizure detection using wearable technology has gained significant attention in research. Most studies, however, have focused on detecting generalized or focal to bilateral tonic–clonic seizures. This study evaluates the feasibility of using a biometric shirt to detect focal impaired awareness seizures (FIAS) by ...

Inconsistent Transcriptomic Responses to Hexabromocyclododecane in Japanese Quail: A Comparative Analysis of Results From Four Different Study Designs

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology and Chemistry, EarlyView.
Abstract Efforts to use transcriptomics for toxicity testing have classically relied on the assumption that chemicals consistently produce characteristic transcriptomic signatures that are reflective of their mechanism of action. However, the degree to which transcriptomic responses are conserved across different test methodologies has seldom been ...
