Intelligent collision avoidance strategy for all-electric propulsion GEO satellite orbit transfer control

open access: yesOpen Astronomy
The all-electric propulsion Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite, characterized by its low launch cost, high precision control, and long operational lifespan, has become a focal point in aerospace research worldwide.

The atypical KRASQ22K mutation directs TGF‐β response towards partial epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in patient‐derived colorectal cancer tumoroids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TGF‐β has a complex role in cancer, exhibiting both tumor‐suppressive and tumor‐promoting properties. Using a series of differentiated tumoroids, derived from different stages and mutational background of colorectal cancer patients, we replicate this duality of TGF‐β in vitro. Notably, the atypical but highly aggressive KRASQ22K mutation rendered early‐

A demonstration of high precision GPS orbit determination for geodetic applications [PDF]

open access: yes
High precision orbit determination of Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites is a key requirement for GPS-based precise geodetic measurements and precise low-earth orbiter tracking, currently under study at JPL.

Dirac and topological phonons with spin-orbital entangled orders [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We propose to study novel quantum phases and excitations for a 2D spin-orbit (SO) coupled bosonic $p$-orbital optical lattice based on the recent experiments. The orbital and spin degrees of freedom with SO coupling compete and bring about nontrivial interacting quantum effects.

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

An Improved Laplace Satellite Tracking Method Based on the Kalman Filter

open access: yesAerospace
When photoelectric measuring equipment is used to track satellites, the extraction of the short-term or long-term target often fails because the target is weak, clouds block the target, and/or the sun’s angle is too small, resulting in the loss of the ...

Improving Fermi Orbit Determination and Prediction in an Uncertain Atmospheric Drag Environment [PDF]

open access: yes
Orbit determination and prediction of the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope trajectory is strongly impacted by the unpredictability and variability of atmospheric density and the spacecraft's ballistic coefficient.

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.
